During the Geotechnical and Hydrogeological drilling programs occurring in Summer and Winter 2012, CKD cooperated with many local contractors including Drillwell Drilling, Carbon Mountain Drilling, Treo Drilling, TDB, Geotech Drilling, Precision Service Pumps, First Aid, HSE Integrated, GES Geotech, and others to work together on the projects. CKD also assigned Stantec to analyze the data and finish the drilling reports used for bulk sample site plant design.
CKD has created lots of business opportunities for the local companies, and will dedicate itself to create more opportunities if stepping into the next stage.

SUPPORTING TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

The company understands that availability of skilled labour poses a significant challenge for the project. CKD Mines has to seek partnership opportunities with established training institutions, to educate and transfer specific skills to Canadians who are interested in working at the Gething Mine. The company will also support apprenticeship training during the advanced exploration work if the project receives the necessary government and regulatory approvals to proceed.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW TECHNOLOGY

Our majority shareholder has 138 years of experience with underground mining, and is a leader in developing and advancing new technology to improve the safety, efficiency and environment impact of mining operations. The application of this underground mining technology will create training opportunities for British Columbia workers to learn new skills. CKD Mines is seeking partnerships with establishing training institutions and organizations in BC to expand and facilitate skills training and support potential workers in obtaining the skills they need to work at Gething Mine.
