As the situation around COVID-19 continues to evolve, CKD is going to protect the health and safety of every employee and also make efforts together in every possible way to slow the spread of virus to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are closely monitoring the situation to ensure we keep current with the most up to date information. We are reminding everyone who enters our building to do their part in preventing the spread of germs by following the steps recommended by local public health authorities.
*Keep every employee updated on actions being taken to reduce risks of exposure in the workplace.
*Allowing work from home or other flexible ways of working,.
*Cancelling face-to-face events and meetings and arranging video or conference call instead.
*Avoiding busy community times in public transport.
*Check on the employee’s health and wellbeing frequently.
*Increase the cleaning schedule of all common areas and facilities in office building with concentration on high touch surfaces.
*Wearing a mask appropriately, make sure it need to be changed frequently to lower the risk of infection.
*Self-isolate for at least 14 days after your return from travel outside of Canada.
*Self-monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 14 days after returning to Canada.
*If you have even mild symptoms, stay home and call the public health authorities in BC.
*Avoiding non-essential gatherings and keep social distance from others.
*Encourage everyone wash their hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer and tissue if soap and water are not available.
*Cough or sneeze into a tissue or bend of your arm, not your hand,
*Taking extra precautions and steps for people who might be more vulnerable. They include, those who have a long-term health condition, pregnant and aged 70 or over.
